‘Don’t say I don’t treat you for Christmas’ were Mark’s opening words as he introduced a star
that for once everyone had heard of. This was the first of several outings for Arthur on the Mark
Radcliffe show which eventually led to Mark and Smooth Operations’ involvement in Count Arthur
Strong’s Radio Show!

Hello everybody,
I’ll never forget all my appearances on Mark Radcliffe’s, or ‘Mark Radcliffe’ as I used to call him,
wonderful BBBC Radio 2 show. Mark Radcliffe would sit opposite me and interview me and I’ll never
forget that. Oh and he used to play bits of music and you could go to the toilet during that bit.
Not that Mark Radcliffe did. I don’t know how he managed. Anyway, as I’ve already made clear I’ll
never forget them.
