Their shared experience of living with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions such as MS has brought them together to engage in physical activity, have fun and support each other in living well. “A massive thank you to Count Arthur Strong for choosing Dance 4 Parkinsons as his charity for the auction. We are a unique group run by individuals living with Parkinson’s and MS. We firmly believe that we are more than our diagnosis. Two years ago we so enjoyed making a short film that we are planning another one, with music specially composed and performed with us and for us. The money raised will go towards making it. Keeping moving is essential (but the gym is boring!) and while we dance we are creative together. It is a communion of real joy and friendship.” Sue Isherwood (Chairperson) on behalf of the group’s participants. Dance plays a significant role in the quality of their lives and they plan to expand their existing dance sessions into a creative hub for people living with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions, to inspire others to find purpose, be of service and live boldly.
